IS KILLED BY ROCK SLIDE
Milwaukee Fireman Badly Mangled
MALDEN, Wash., Aug.22.--- J. W. Williamson, a fireman on the Milwaukee running out of this place, was mangled by falling rock while assisting in removing rock from the track near Pocono last night.
The train, in
charge of Engineer Maxwell, was running through the forest fire and ran onto the
slide. While he was removing some of these rocks a large rock fell and struck
him on the back just above the hips. He was taken to the hospital at St. Joe
where he died after an operation.
